Enrolling in Our Enhanced Online Security System
There are two major components to our Enhanced Online Security System:
- Authentication Image & Pass Phrase you will see when you log in
- Challenge questions to confirm your identity
You should set up your new security profile from the computer you use most often to access Online Banking. That will become your "home" computer, and our system will recognize you immediately.
You can establish Computer Profiles for additional computers at any time.
If you log in to Online Banking from a computer our system doesn't recognize, you will be asked to verify your identity using the challenge questions you established.
When you enroll in our Enhanced Online Security System, you will be given a random image and phrase that will appear whenever you log in to Online Banking that is similar to this example.
Your Image & Phrase
Your Image & Phrase verify that you are logging into the secure Bank Midwest Online Banking System, and not a fraudulent page designed to look like our website.
The image and phrase will be known only to you. If you don't see them the next time you log in to Online Banking after enrolling, close the window immediately and call 1.800.867.2265.
You can choose a different image and phrase at any time after you have enrolled.
Your Challenge Questions
The challenge questions will protect your account data when you're logging in from a computer our system doesn't recognize.
To verify your identity, you will select 3 pre-defined questions of your choice. Example: "What was the name of your first pet?"
We have done our best to make our Enhanced Online Security features as convenient and easy-to-use as possible.
