Mr. Schrag has over 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. He is presently a Senior Vice President and Commercial Real Estate Market Manager for Kansas City with Bank Midwest. He is charged with leadership of the CRE loan production team as well as the development of new client relationships and deepening existing client relationships. Prior to joining Bank Midwest in 2018, Mr. Schrag was a Vice President with KeyBank in the special servicing/special assets group, where he led the Kansas City special servicing and due diligence teams. In that role he was responsible for managing a team of asset managers whose responsibilities primarily included the resolution of defaulted CMBS loans along with performing due diligence and underwriting for new issuance B piece buyers in both CMBS and Freddie Mac securitizations. Further, Mr. Schrag was a member of the business development team responsible for finding and cultivating new client relationships for the loan servicing and asset management platform. Prior to joining KeyBank in 2009, Mr. Schrag spent 10 years with a small boutique lending subsidiary of the Principal Financial group known as Principal Commercial Acceptance, LLC (“PCA”). During his tenure at PCA, Mr. Schrag held various positions and his duties included the origination, underwriting and closing of highly structured bridge loans, mezzanine loans and preferred equity investments. Prior to PCA, Mr. Schrag spent 3 years with Midland Loan Services where he started his commercial real estate career. Mr. Schrag earned his BA in Finance from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri.
Derek has over 13 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. He is presently a Vice President of Commercial Real Estate in Kansas City with Bank Midwest. He is charged with development of new client relationships and deepening existing client relationships. Prior to joining Bank Midwest in 2018, Derek was a Vice President with Peoples Bank in the Commercial/Commercial Real Estate group, where he expanded his client relationships and portfolio to the largest within the Peoples Bank organization. Prior to joining the Commercial/Commercial Real Estate group with Peoples Bank in 2007, Derek spent 2 years at Peoples Bank as a Commercial Credit Analyst. Derek earned his BA in Finance from Kansas State University.
Jason’s banking experience began in 2008 upon completing the commercial lending training program with Commerce Bank of Kansas City, MO. He went on to advance within the super-community bank, landing a position of focus in commercial asset based underwriting. In 2012, Jason joined NBH Bank, progressing into the role of Vice President, Credit Review Officer. Focus in this position was around credit risk management across all lending divisions of the Bank. It was in this role that Jason developed relationships with the commercial real estate team, and following a five-year stint as Credit Review Officer, Jason accepted his current role as Portfolio Manager of Commercial Real Estate in Kansas City. Williams holds an Associate degree from North Central Missouri College and Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from University of Central Missouri.
Aaron has over 10 years’ experience in the commercial banking space in the Kansas City market. He is presently a Vice President and Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Manager with Bank Midwest. In this role, he manages an existing portfolio of clients, working to provide solutions for clients’ needs. He also works in conjunction with bankers in new business development, and is accountable for all functional areas of the team including underwriting, legal, portfolio management and bank compliance standards. Prior to joining Bank Midwest in 2018, Aaron was an Assistant Vice President and Portfolio Lender with NBKC Bank. In that role, he was responsible for managing the commercial loan portfolio, primarily comprised of commercial real estate loans. His duties included underwriting new and existing loans, monitoring and taking appropriate action on existing loans and collecting past due loans. He also managed the classified portfolio, working out criticized assets. Prior to NBKC Bank, Aaron worked in a production capacity in the Kansas City market for seven years. Aaron received his formal credit training through UMB’s commercial loan training program, spending two years in development before becoming a commercial banker, where he was named the Rookie of the Year for the Kansas City market in 2010. Aaron holds a Bachelor degree from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas.
Lisa is a Credit Analyst on the Commercial Real Estate Banking team, assisting in the management of the Kansas City client portfolio. Lisa started her banking career at US Bank and First National Bank of Kansas as a Private Banker in 1995. Lisa then moved on to become the Director of Marketing and Internet Services for CBIZ and Hobbs Group; national employee benefit and financial services companies. Lisa transitioned back into banking in 2016 with Peoples Bank and joined Bank Midwest in 2018 through the acquisition of Peoples Bank. Lisa attended the University of Kansas majoring in Business Administration. Lisa is married with two children and is actively involved in fundraising efforts within the Blue Valley School District.
Lindsay has been with the organization since 2010 and has over 12 years of experience in the banking industry. Prior experience includes roles such as Special Assets/problem loan workout and Commercial Lending & Leasing. Currently, Lindsay provides administrative support to the Commercial Real Estate team in Kansas City. Lindsay is responsible for working with Relationship Managers and commercial loan clients beginning with the due diligence/underwriting process through post-closing. Further responsibilities include managing construction draw projects, interfacing with internal departments, legal counsel and 3rd party vendors throughout the loan servicing period.
