Mr. Schrag has over 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. He is presently a Senior Vice President and Commercial Real Estate Market Manager for Kansas City with Bank Midwest. He is charged with leadership of the CRE loan production team as well as the development of new client relationships and deepening existing client relationships. Prior to joining Bank Midwest in 2018, Mr. Schrag was a Vice President with KeyBank in the special servicing/special assets group, where he led the Kansas City special servicing and due diligence teams. In that role he was responsible for managing a team of asset managers whose responsibilities primarily included the resolution of defaulted CMBS loans along with performing due diligence and underwriting for new issuance B piece buyers in both CMBS and Freddie Mac securitizations. Further, Mr. Schrag was a member of the business development team responsible for finding and cultivating new client relationships for the loan servicing and asset management platform. Prior to joining KeyBank in 2009, Mr. Schrag spent 10 years with a small boutique lending subsidiary of the Principal Financial group known as Principal Commercial Acceptance, LLC (“PCA”). During his tenure at PCA, Mr. Schrag held various positions and his duties included the origination, underwriting and closing of highly structured bridge loans, mezzanine loans and preferred equity investments. Prior to PCA, Mr. Schrag spent 3 years with Midland Loan Services where he started his commercial real estate career. Mr. Schrag earned his BA in Finance from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri.
Aaron has over 10 years’ experience in the commercial banking space in the Kansas City market. He is presently a Vice President and Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Manager with Bank Midwest. In this role, he manages an existing portfolio of clients, working to provide solutions for clients’ needs. He also works in conjunction with bankers in new business development, and is accountable for all functional areas of the team including underwriting, legal, portfolio management and bank compliance standards. Prior to joining Bank Midwest in 2018, Aaron was an Assistant Vice President and Portfolio Lender with NBKC Bank. In that role, he was responsible for managing the commercial loan portfolio, primarily comprised of commercial real estate loans. His duties included underwriting new and existing loans, monitoring and taking appropriate action on existing loans and collecting past due loans. He also managed the classified portfolio, working out criticized assets. Prior to NBKC Bank, Aaron worked in a production capacity in the Kansas City market for seven years. Aaron received his formal credit training through UMB’s commercial loan training program, spending two years in development before becoming a commercial banker, where he was named the Rookie of the Year for the Kansas City market in 2010. Aaron holds a Bachelor degree from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas.
Lindsay has been with the organization since 2010 and has over 12 years of experience in the banking industry. Prior experience includes roles such as Special Assets/problem loan workout and Commercial Lending & Leasing. Currently, Lindsay provides administrative support to the Commercial Real Estate team in Kansas City. Lindsay is responsible for working with Relationship Managers and commercial loan clients beginning with the due diligence/underwriting process through post-closing. Further responsibilities include managing construction draw projects, interfacing with internal departments, legal counsel and 3rd party vendors throughout the loan servicing period.
